And Hanja education for children went viral several years ago in our country. Lots of books dealt with the benefit of Hanja education, and parents went crazy to catch up with the latest trend and try hard cramming in their children’s head.

The great downfall of our hanja education is all because it’s not depending on true necessity.
For the most of contemporary people, Hanja is not quite essential part of education. Though more than 50% of Korean words came from Chinese, we can understand it without knowing Hanja. We can get by without much knowledge in Hanja.
