The project naemed "Reuse" is going on the wall. = I have to go on a business trip to Gwangmyeong, near Seoul. Three years ago, my company outsourced a project to a small vendor. The project, named 'Reuse,' is hitting a wall.
Reuse is to use ESS at plants or houses by used batteries on car, = The concept of 'Reuse' involves repurposing used EV batteries into Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for factories or homes.
This market is growing up incredibley. Usually, To maintain the ESS system is more important a lot than selling ESS. It is not easy to change already ESS system installled. Many user prefer to use original batteries over new. It brings subscription system. = This market is growing at an incredible rate. Generally, maintaining an ESS system is far more important than just selling the unit itself because modifying an already installed ESS is difficult, and many clients prefer original battery packs over new alternatives, leading to a subscription-based model.
Anyway, the vender of my company is lack of developing the reuse system. = However, our vendor lacks the capability to develop this reuse system properly.
That project is delayed from a yer to 3 years although the original performance expection was canceled. = The project timeline has been delayed from one year to three years, even though the original performance expectations were scaled back.
The product consist of a rack, and two pack. The total weight is over 150kg. It needs disassembly and assembly process on site. and it needs 3 people to work. = The product consists of one rack and two battery packs, weighing over 150 kg in total. It requires a three-person crew to disassemble and reassemble it on site.
The site to install ths products is Naju. It takes 3hours 30minutes from Gumi by car. So it needs pre-installation check. So I have to go to Gwangmyeong. = The actual installation site is in Naju, which is a 3-hour-and-30-minute drive from Gumi, making a pre-installation check in Gwangmyeong necessary.
But I don't truse my vender. It a liar like fish while breating in and out. for 36 years, It is the first time. Becaused of the delay, I have to give a call to my client to take a rain check. = I don't trust this vendor at all; they lie as naturally as a fish breathes underwater. In my 36 years, I have never seen a vendor like this. Because of these delays, I had to call my client to take a rain check.
My client is a staff of LGES. He lied to his supervisor that it is sucessful, too. = My client, who works at LGES, also lied to his supervisor by claiming the project was a success.
This project had to be rejected. = In reality, this project should have been canceled.
My client gave us total money and we gave my vender total money. But my vender is not requied with the result. = My client paid us in full, and we paid our vendor in full, but the vendor has completely failed to deliver the required results.
NOTE: It must be deeply stressful to manage the logistics of 150 kg battery installations while dealing with an unreliable vendor and an intermediate client who is hiding project delays from upper management. ㅠㅠ |
