Mostly, I have few memories about Chicago, America. As long as working in America, I had to work over 16- 18hours a day. After midnight, I was still in a factory. There's nothing better....Rather, it was getting more and more wores... = I have very few good memories of Chicago, America. While working in America, I had to work 16 to 18 hours a day. Even after midnight, I was still in the factory. Nothing got better; in fact, things kept getting worse.
On Saturday, I finished working since 9 p.m and then my supervisors brought us to a Korean restaurant to join dinner together "ȸ½Ä". So I just rested on Sunday. = On Saturdays, I didn't finish work until 9 p.m., and then my supervisors would take us to a Korean restaurant for a team dinner (hoeshik). That meant I only got to rest on Sundays.

Even the per diem was minuscule compared to local prices. I was dying to spend money on delicious food using my company card, but there were limits.
and most of all, American food was so more terrible than I imagined such as tips, prices, taste, service souls....the tip of bottoms wa 16%....They were not good at counting food. = Most of all, American dining was much worse than I imagined when considering tips, prices, taste, and poor service. There was no people walking, jogging on the street. = There were no people on the streets.
While jogging, I experienced that noise from drivers shouting to us. Memorable moment was just jogging with my colleges on the street. Only. = Once, drivers even yelled at us while we were running. Jogging with my colleagues was truly my only good memory there.
NOTE: This is a compelling and personal reflection! The imagery of your long working hours and jogging through quiet streets is very vivid. |
