What are some things I want to learn or understand better about the culture and people in the places I visit?

I want to learn about the Indus Civilization in the India, Nepal, etc.
When I was student of university = a university student, I visited for the education volunteer = volunteered for an education volunteer program in Nepal.
I was surprised from = by their the burial service, which burned a human's body on the rivel = river.
And I heared = heard about the myth of many gods in the Indus Civilization.
It was really interesting for me, so I thought that I wanted to learn their culture.
And when I met some disabled students at the school, I felt the pity for childerns = children.
But the Nepalese people talked to me that = told me, "we = We didn't feel any pity, because = pity because all situations, including even disorder, are conclusion = concluded by god."
They didn't blame god, and thought that if I complete this life well, the next life will be better.
This belief gave me a new perspective, because = perspective because I didn't believe in any religions = religion.
As a result, I wish that I could travel and experience a lot of the Indus Civilzation = Civilization.
