It seems clear that the total population of 3 selected countries follow an upward trend throughout the given period. Interestingly, the ratio of population 65 and over aged people in Japan is expected to increase significantly since 2020. Meanwhile, the other nations have a gradual increasing pattern.
Looking at the graph more closely, there was a steady increase in the rate of 3 nations. To be specific, between 1940 and roughly 1995, the proportion of the population of the U.S was the biggest which stood at roughly 9 per cent followed by Sweden and Japan with a lower rate at approximately 7% and 5% in 1940. The figure of the USA and Sweden increased simultaneously before reaching roughly 14% in the end of 1990. In contrast, there was a fluctuation in the figure of Japan. It waved within a range from roughly 5% to 4% in the same period. After roughly 15 years an opposing trend in the rate of the population of Sweden and the USA, both of them are expected to increase to roughly 26% and 23% respectively.
When it comes to the figure of Japan, it followed an upward trend during the remained period. The rate of population in Japan is projected to rise gradually to 10% in approximately 2030 and then it is predicted to exceed the other two nations¡¯ figure in the end of the research period which will reach at nearly 28% in 2040. |
