It seems clear that China was the most populated nation expect in 2050 throughout the period. In general, there was a general decrease in the number of population in China, the USA and Japan. Whereas, India experienced an increase in their figure during the given period. Looking at the graph more closely, in 1950, the proportion of the population of China was the biggest among listed nations which stood at around 23% followed by India, the USA and Japan with a much lower rate at roughly 15%, 7% and 3% respectively. After 52 year later, there was a slight dip in the figure of China and the USA and Japan. The ratio of the population of China decreased from roughly 23% in 1950 to roughly 20% in 2002 and the figure for the USA and Japan had a fall of around 1% in their figures. In contrast, the rate of India¡¯s population rose to roughly 17% in 2002. When it comes to the prediction of the future population, there will be a significant drop in the population of China where is expected to reach to approximately 15% and then the figure for Japan is predicted to a decrease of roughly 2% its figure. However, the proportion of the USA¡¯s population will level off its previous figure at roughly 5%. As far as the figure of India is concerned, it will exceed the proportion of China¡¯s population in 2050 which is projected to increase to nearly 19%
